Shouldn’t we be able to get a copy of the credit report that we paid for from our mortgage company?
We recently refinanced our mortgage, with the same company we were already through. The company of course pulled our credit report, which was something we had to pay for. When I asked for a copy of it, they told me they could not release it to us. Shouldn’t we be able to get a copy of our credit report that we paid for from our mortgage company?

Yes, generally sepaking you should be able to get a copy, especially if you paid for the report to be pulled in the first place. Did they give you a reason that they would not release it? It is not like they are relaeasing it to some one other than you and there could be a privacy issue claimed. I would ask to speak with a supervisor and ask for a refuasal in writing. Then decide from there how you wish to proceed. Good luck.
