If I'm separated awaiting a custody hearing and my wife told lies during mediation to get an unfair interim custody order, what can be done before the hearing?
I had to move in with my brother because of financial reasons. During mediation my wife decided to say that he was a child predator and his ex wife was abused by him. I called his ex-wife and she denied ever making such statements to my wife, furthermore saying they were fabricated my wife. My brother has never been had any accusations against him before. What can be done about this so lies are not told during hearing? Mediator said that they were going to do background check because of such serious allegations.
How horrible for you. I am very sorry. You need to have an attorney helping you here and you need to dis-prove the allegations made. That may mean bringing in your ex sister in law to show that your wife fabricated the story. You need to attack her credibility. You need to bring in charachter witnesses for everyone who is involved and who your wife has added to the pot, so to speak. Good luck.
