What to do if I purchased a used car 21 days ago but it is now in the shop for the second time and the dealer has refused to take the car back?
Question Details: I have not made the first payment and have put less than 150 miles on the vehicle. I put $2644 down on this car and want my money back. I was curious of my rights in this state due to the fact that they did not present me with the "as is" buyers guide until the day after the car was purchased.
I suggest that you carefully read the pruchase agreement as to the car with respect to all disclosures made as to its condition. Under the laws of all states in this country the seller of a car is required to disclose all material items wrong with the item to a potential buyer affecting price paid or desirability.
If the seller did not disclose all known problems to you before the sale, you may have a basis to set aside the sale and return the vehicle for a full refund. I suggest that you consult with a consumer law attorney about the matter further if you cannot resolve it on your own.
