If I live in the Virgin Islands and want a divorce after 6 years marriage, what do I do if my wife lives in the states?
Will I have to pay alimony? We do not have any shared property; I had a home here that was paid off before we were married. She has been in school for 5 years and will graduate next year but is only in school part-time. She is asking that I continue to support her for another 5 years. She has not lived with me for 3 years. We have no children together but I have 2 children that I pay child support for from a previous relationship.

The Virgin Islands is a United States territory. If you want to file a dissolution action against your wife and if you are a resident of the Virgin islands, you can file your petition for dissolution where you reside and have her served in the United States.
She will then need to appear in the Virgin Islands for the dissolution proceedings. From what you have written, it does not seem that you will be required to pay any spousal support since your wife seems more than capable of getting a job to support herself.
