What to do if I have an order to appear in court and answer as to assets?
I owe $1200 on credit card but I have nothing, no bank account, no job and am in process of filing bankruptcy. I am very nervous because I do have 2 cars (although one I gave away but never tranferred title over, to my stepson). I have lost both of my car titles and don’t know how they will react to me. My cars are clunkers and probably not worth $1000. Will they take one car? Do I have to count my spouse income (still not much, maybe $200 a month if lucky). Do I give them a copy of the info I posted to my bankruptccy lawyer? Do I need to give them copy of my food stamp certification? I am also in school and receive a school loan,

Tell the creditor that you are filing bankruptcy. If you have counsel, tell his name and contact info. The cars are probably exempt but I am not familiar with the state in which you live. You must show up for the hearing or face a contempt citation.
