What would you recommend if I got a ticket for going 1 mile over the speed limit?

The officer said that road conditions were snow and ice and I was “speeding” to get around vehicles. I only saw myself go 64 in a 65 mph zone and it was 34 degrees; there was no ice on the road just snow from earlier.

Go to court for trial date and speak to the prosecutor. Be humble and nonconfrontational, but lay out what you think happened and that if you were speeding without realizing it, you are very sorry. Especially if you otherwise have a good driving record, the posecutor may dismiss case or at least give you a deal under which you pay a fine but don't get any points.
