If I'm in a 5 year Chapter 13 repayment plan with just 8 months to go and have been laid off, can my friends continue to make my payments for the time remaining?

Question Details: My position was eliminated at work and I am on a 3 month moratorium with my plan. Good friends want to see me complete the plan and desire to make the payment for 8 months while I am seeking employment. How does that work with the trustee?
