How can I avoid going to jail for driving without a valid license?
I had a driver’s license which is now suspended since I haven’t been able to pay some tickets. I recently got a ticket for driving with no license in another state, where I live now. I went to court today and got a continuance. The judge says I could get up to 6 months jail. He said to talk with the procecutor but the procecutor’s office says to clear up my license first. I won’t be able to do that before my next appearance because the fines are too much. What should I do?

The best way to try and resolve the difficult situation that you are now in is to consult with a criminal defense attorney such as the public defender to help you and to see what your best options are for resolution.
From what you have written, it seems that you need money to pay off prior fines to get your driver's license reinstated. To do such, I suggest that you try and get a loan or loans from people you know to do so since you presently do not have the money to do so.
