What to do if I’m trying to file a bankruptcy on my own but I was previously going to file with my husband who I have now separated from?
We both completed the initial required class a year ago. Now that I am filing by myself do I have to take this pre-required class again? I am also having a lot of difficulty with the ‘means test’ I am on a fixed income that is set to expire next month, is the means test still a requirement if it’s just myself and I am on fixed income with no assets in my name?

The bankruptcy debt couseling certification is only good for 180 days, or 6 months. So Yes, you have to do it again.
The means test is part of the filing. It has to be completed. Try a local county Bar Association and see if they have a pro-bono or referral program that can assist you.
