Car accidents?

The accident was 6 years ago and my husband was a minor when it happened. He is now being sued civilly? Can they do that if he was a minor when it happened and what should we do?

According to the Montana Code, a minor can be civilly liable for a wrongful action, although punitive damages are only allowed if the minor was capable of knowing that the act was wrongful at the time of the action.

You should probably seek a lawyer, especially if the accident resulted in serious injuries to the party that is suing your husband.
