Can you be pulled over for an expired inspection sticker?
Not at a road block but by an officer in a car across the street that says he saw my sticker was expired. Also is there anytihng that I can do to get it thrown out of court? It is 3 months past due but what if I get an inspection the same day I got the ticket?
Yes, you can be pulled over for an expired inspection sticker. That's one of the reasons that the stickers are designed so that police can tell very easily when they expire. I'd say that there's absolutely no way you can get this thrown out, even with inspection on the same day, because both the ticket and the inspection records will have the time of day on them. Taking care of the registration the same day is still a good idea, though, and if you do it, and you have to make a court appearance (rather than just mailing in a fixed fine-and-costs amount on the ticket, if there is one), mention that to the judge as a reason to give you the minimum fine.
A police officer can pull a car over for any violation of the law, no matter how trivial, including a required light that isn't working. In some states, tinting window glass for privacy is illegal, and the law is rarely enforced -- but that doesn't mean it isn't enough legal justification for a stop.
