If your cousin gets married before his divorce is final, then he will guilty of the crime of bigamy. A person is not legally free to re-marry until a final decree of divorce has been issued by the court. Should he go forward with this second "marriage", that marriage will be ""null and void". This means that from a legal standpoint it will be as though it never happened.
