The courts generally prefer it when parties work together to come to agreements regarding children. So, yes, you can agree on child support and rights outside fo court. The agreement would need to be formalized in an order which the court would then have to approve. As long as the agreement is in the best of interest of the child, the court will usually grant an order approving agreement reached by parents regarding child support and custody.
