Can I put my daughter on my new wife's health insurance?
Question Details: I was divorced about 3 years ago. I am currently the soul provider for my daughter's health insurance. Would there be any issues if I put her on my new wife's health insurance because I will be switching to hers. I just want to know if that would be a legal issue. As long as I am covering my daughter, does it matter?
There would be no legal issue from the point of view of your divorce and any support, etc. obligations from it: you would be providing or arranging for the insurance, so you'd be fulfilling your obligations. As long as coverage is provided, you would be fine.
