Under the laws of all states in this country a landlord can place a restriction in the lease of a unit before the lease is signed prohibiting the tenant from having any firearms on the premises.

However, after the lease is signed the landlord cannot unilaterally place such a restriction on the tenant unless the tenant agrees to such.
