Will I be responsible for paying for my friend mother's car if I wreck it?
Question Details: My friend and I were coming from a party and e was driving but swerving on the road, so I told him to let me drive. However, while I was driving I fell asleep and the car flipped and landed in someone's yard. The police came and no citations were given for anything.
You are liable for negligence for the cost of repairs to the car you damaged. If the car has been totaled, you are liable for the value of the car.
You can be sued for negligence by the registered owner of the vehicle you damaged.
