Why didn’t i get subpoenaed to court after getting hit by a drunk driver with no insurance who left the scene?
I was at a stop sign and was hit by a drunk driver that had no insurance. he also
fled the scene. the police were called and he was arrested for Driving Under the
Influence of Alcohol / Failure to Report Property Damage Accident / No Insurance.
i was told that i was going to get subpoenaed to court to testify against him and
hopefully get some compensation. i waited and waited for a letter in the mail or
any information about it and it never came. so i decided to look up his public
records and police blotter and found he had to go to court on 3-23-2017 but i was
never notified?

Most likely, they felt that they did not need your testimony to convict him, such as because they either had enough other evidence (e.g. a police report, breathalyzer or other alcohol test) or because he negotiated a guilty plea--if they did not need you, they would not have bothered you.
