Your son really should have an attorney for this. Right now it appears that for whatever reason, he did not successfuly complete the terms of his probation. Accordngly, it is now being terminated. Since he faces possible jailtime/fines, etc. he is well advised to consult directly with a local criminal law attorney ASAP.

It means what it sounds like: for some reason, his probation was regarded as unsuccessful--for example, he may have violated the rules and restrictions on on him--and his probation is being terminated or ended. He may be sentenced to jail/prison time or some other punishment.
