Unlicensed driver suing another party
My mother was in an auto accident. She may be at
fault, however, the other driver was driving with a
suspended license. Can this have an affect? Her
auto insurance provider is handling the case thus far,
but I am curious about this circumstance of the other
driver illegally operating a vehicle

No, the other party's driving status has no effect regarding liability if your mother was at fault for the accident. That having been said, the other driver most likely would have been cited for driving on a suspended license and will have to answer seperately for that.
