If the cop who arrested me was fired due to misconduct with another case, can I get my drug case dropped?
Question Details: The police officer also lied about what I did and cannot produce the evidence he is claiming.
1) What the officer did in regards to another case has no direct bearing on your case; the only issue is what he did in or about your own case. (I.e. someone could lie in case 1, then be completely truthful in case 2; each case is judged on its own merits.) That said, if he was fired for.misconduct in another case, that fact can be used to damage his credibility (make him look like a liar), which can weaken his testimony against you or the strength of any written report of his.
2) If he can't produce necessary evidence, that could result in your case being dismissed. If you can prove he lied in or about your case, that will also clearly help you and could potentially result in dismissal.
