Why would the park-and-fly be liable if you parked your car yourself? The fact that your car was damaged at someone else's property does not make the property owner liable--the same way that if a friend parked his car in your driveway and someone else hit while trying to make a U-turn in your driveway, you would not be liable. Only the person who hit your car is at fault: if you can identify that person (are there security cameras the lot?), you can sue him or her.
