What can I do if my ex-boyfriend had an accident and damaged my car but won’t pay me for the damages?

I was dating someone and while we were together, he ran my car into a tree stump. It is only body work damages but around $2,000 to fix. We broke up and he said he was still going to pay it; I have text messages proving his intent to pay. Then, he started ignoring me and has not paid. It has been about 10 months since he has done this. Do I take him to small claims court and will I win?

Since yo have proof of youe claim against him, you can file suit in small claims court. if you win, and you have a good chance, he will have to reimbusre you for the $2,ooo in dmages to your car.
