What to do if I hit a pedestrian on the side of the road?
I hit a person on the side of a busy street. There was a sidewalk on the other side of the street that she did not use. She also had a child that was on a bike. Am I responsible?

You are liable for injuries to the pedestrian, child and damage to the bike. Your liability will include medical bills, pain and suffering,which is an amount in addition to the medical bills, wage loss and a separate property damage claim for the bike.
Notify your auto insurance company of the accident. Your insurance company will handle the matter for you.
