How EXACTLY does one go about divorce by publication in Ohio?

I cannot find my husband and haven’t been able to find him. I’ve kept records of
everything I’ve tried to find him to no avail. The steps I’ve read are so
convoluted. Where do I start? And how long will the process take?

Service by publication is running a notice of your petition for dissolution of marriage in the legal notices section of a newspaper for the required period of time. You will need to ask the court clerk how long the notice must run in the newspaper for effective service by publication because the required time period varies from state to state.
Service by publication is effective even if your husband never sees the notice in the newspaper.
