How many days can I ask the judge for a continuance so that I can get a lawyer and money saved to pay them?

You can *ask* for anything. In terms of what's likely to be granted, 2 weeks to 1 months is what I have seen in the state in which I practice (New Jersey) for requests like this for traffic, including DUI, cases.
