What are the reasons to have a case dismissed?
Question Details: I found my name on a warrant list. I turned myself in and was arrested. I was never read my rights or give the chance to make a phone call. Are these reasons to have the case dismissed?
No, those will not result in the case being dismissed, though not having been read your rights could be used to throw out or exclude any confession or other incriminating statement you may have made before being told your rights, or any search you may have consented to without being told you had a right to an attorney.
