Do I have to appear in traffic court if it's in a different county?
Question Details: I got a violation for driving while on suspension; it happened in a different county. I am planning on answering the charges either with myself or attorney. Do I have to travel to that location?
Call the court clerk and ask if you can make a telephone appearance instead of being physically present in the courtroom.
If a telephonic appearance is allowed, ask for the documents you need to request it and the filing deadline prior to the hearing for submitting the documents.
If you miss the filing deadline or don't file the correct documents, your request will be denied.
