Can he get half of my CD that I had before we got married?

I have a 3,000 CD that I had before we got married. IT was inheritance money from my parents. Can my husband get half of it?

Inheritances or other gifts made either before or during the marriage, are deemed to be the sole and seperate property of the spouse that they were given to. Accordingly, unless your husband also contributed money to the CD or his name was on the account, it is yours and yours only.
