Can an employer charge you for uniforms every paycheck?
Question Details: The company I work for has been charging me for a uniform every 2 weeks. I have only recieved 1 uniform since I started 6 months ago. I want to know if this is legal? Also, they don't clean my uniform; I clean it myself.
It is illegal to charge you for something you do not receive, so they cannot charge you for uniform cleaning (or a new uniform) every 2 weeks unless you fact receive that. You should contact the state department of labor to file a complaint.
