Since your wife was injured on the job, she has a worker's compensation claim.  Her employer's human resources department should have the applicable documents for filing for workers' compensation.  It would also be advisable to speak with a workers' compensation attorney.
Workers' compensation is an alternative to filing a lawsuit against the employer.
