Can I make the simple repairs to my home after inspection?
Question Details: My home is under contract and the buyer had a home inspection done. They asked for simple repairs and receipts and pictures. Their written request does not specify contractor. Can I make these repairs?

It depends on the repair. If it is something that does not require a licensed contractor to be able to pass inspection or be code compliant, you can make the repairs; if a licensed contractor (e.g. electrician or plumber) is needed for inspection or code compliance, then you have to hire one. Example from my town (in NJ): I could sand and refinish a floor, patch a wall, replace a window, or install weather striping, but if the buyer needed a light socket or electrical outlet rewired, I'd have to hire an electrician or else it would not be to local code.
