Are IID restrictions told to you at your hearing?
Question Details: Are all first offense DUI drivers are required to have an IID installed in their vehicle? How do you know how many months you need to have the device if it varies? If you are required to install a IID would that information be given to you during sentencing?
1) Ignition interlock devices are not required for 1st time DUIs offenders in NJ: a court has the authority to order one, but is not required to and most commonly does not.
2) You will be told how many months it has be installed and used, if you are ordered to install one; you would be given that information at trial.
