Are chiropractors allowed to ask for a payment for a program fee up front or do patients have to pay per visit?
Question Details: As a chiropractor, I would like to set up a program that incorporates multiple modalities of treatment to treat a condition like tendinitis in a specific time frame. Would I be able to charge patients the total bulk fee up front or do I have to charge per visit?
You are allowed to charge the whole fee up front. If you (not the patient) were unable to complete the course of treatment (such as due to your own injury or illness), you would have to refund the appropriate pro rata portion of the fee, equivalent to the portion attributable to the treatment not done.
