What does this mean: "This matter will be ajourned by the court except upon formal motion for good cause or with the specific approval of the court upon stipulation by all parties involved".
To adjourn a matter or case menar to "suspend" it until a later time. Generally when a matter is adjourned the court issues a date in the future either for a hearing on an issue or for a control date to allow parties to discuss and/or possibly settle a matter. Here your statement seems to imply that the court closed the proceeding for the moment and will allow the proceeding to be re-opened by a party making a formal application to the court (called a motion) but "for good cause" i.e., a good reason, or by either writing or calling (not to be done without your opponent called "ex parte") and asking their permission to put the matter back on the "calendar" or their list of matters to be conferenced. Good luck.
