If you sell baked goods for money, you are already in business!
The short answer is, you may sell anything that you have legal title to or right to sell, as long as it is itself legal to sell. You need to pay taxes on any profits, since they are income; you might want to consider taking out some insurance for the endeavor to protect yourself from liability (or else set up an LLC or corporation, which usually can be done for $150 - $300 and sell through that entity); and you can't misrepresent matters (so don't even imply it's for charity); but other than thah, you may absolutely run one business to raise funds for another one.
