If you have misdemeanor domestic charge can you own a gun?
I need to know if my new wife can own a gun if I have a misdemeanor domestic violence charge from 8 years ago with my ex-wife.
Answered 3 years ago|
In all likelihood a misdemeanor conviction for domestic violence that occurred eight (8) years ago does not under the laws of your state prevent you from owning a firearm.
Most importantly your domestic violence conviction which is a misdemeanor does not prevent your new wife from owning a firearm. She has no conviction that would prevent her from owning such a weapon.
