Can you be extradited for non-payment of alimony?
Will I be extradited from VA if I do not pay my NC alimony?
The use of arrest and warrants for arrears varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Moving out of state does not necessarily keep you "safe" if you are in arrears.
If a non-custodial parent does not pay child support, he or she is subject to enforcement measures in accordance with Federal and North Carolina child support law to collect regular and past-due payments.

Arrest warrants can be issued and some jurisdictions do extradite. Warrants are usually served "passively" meaning that if you are stopped say for a traffic infraction and they run your license the warrant could surface. Then you could be arrested and extradited.
