What can I do if my boyfriend kicked me out of his house and now won't let me get my things?
A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend kicked me out of his house. I was only to get a few of my personal belongings out. 2 days later I went back with a cop to get the rest of mine and my daughter's items out. He told me that I could not until I gave him the gifts that he gave me back. But he has the jewelry he gave me and he will not return it to me.
You have basically two options, both of which you can do: 1) report him to the police for theft; and/or 2) sue him for the return of the jewlery or at least its value. Note that as these (especially # 1) are pretty drastic, make sure you're certain you want to do this; be sure you can prove that the items belong to you (receipts; letters or emails from him saying they're yours; etc.); and be sure your hands are "clean," too--that you've given him what he's entitled to get.
You can also sue for for wrongful eviction if you were paying rent/utilities and did not receive a legal eviction notice. Even if you were not making any such payments, since you were there with his permission, you will be considered to be a "licensee". As such, again without a proper eviction notice, you could sue for wrongful eviction. Right now, you should consult with an attorney in your area. All of this could add up to a decent sum of money and teach him a good lesson.
